EUPeace is the European University for Peace, Justice, and Inclusive Societies. It is only too obvious that these values are fragile and heavily contested in Europe and all over the world. Our mission is to help future generations of citizens and policy-makers and provide them with the skills, knowledge, and experience to cultivate Peace, Justice, and Inclusive Societies. In order to achieve this, EUPeace focuses on a fruitful societal dialogue, reflecting the third mission of universities to engage with and contribute to society. By offering flexible and elective Soft Skill micro-courses on a wide range of top-ics, from critical thinking and intercultural awareness to problem-solving and mediation, EUPeace in-vests in capacities that transcend disciplinary boundaries. These Soft Skill courses for students, staff, and beyond, are designed to strengthen the competences needed for inclusive, ethical, and peace-oriented community engagement.

In this course, you will learn the basics of turning an idea into a structured project.
Through short explanations, examples and interactive activities, you will become familiar with how projects are designed and developed. You will learn how to describe a need, define objectives, organise activities, use tools to plan and structure a project and build a convincing project story.
Throughout the course, you will work with CONNECT-PhD, a fictional European cooperation project, that will help you apply the concepts and tools presented in each part of the course.
Let's get started!

My name is Marie Maze, and I work as a European and international projects manager at the University of Limoges. I am not a trainer or a teacher, so I have structured this course from a practical, project-based perspective, drawing on my professional experience in project development and management. I designed this course as an introduction to project work, and I hope that by the end of it, you will have developed the project mindset needed to turn an idea or a need into a structured project and to approach your work in a more project-oriented way.
My name is Vincent Enrico. I am a digital education engineer in the International Relations Office at the University of Limoges. I work on the “EU Peace” project, focusing on the internationalization of teacher education. I had the pleasure of helping Marie design this course and, in particular, create the videos that walk through each step.

Throughout this training, we will use a mock project titled "Connect-PhD" as a common case study to apply the concepts and tools introduced in each session. Rather than working only with theory, you will progressively transform an initial project idea into a structured project outline.
After each section of the course, you will complete a practical exercise based on the case study, allowing you to put new knowledge into practice step by step. Click on the link above to access the project description.
