Předmět se zabývá principy přeměny energie v tepelných elektrárnách, zvyšováním účinnosti tepelných oběhů, výpočtem tepelného oběhu, stanovením množství a úpravou pracovních látek ve výrobním systému elektrárny. Dále je řešen provoz a regulace elektrárenských bloků, kombinovaná výroba elektrické a tepelné energie, ORC cyklus, tepelný oběh paroplynové a jaderné elektrárny. Praktická výuka probíhá v Elektrárně Tušimice II.
The subject deals with the principles of energy conversion in thermal power plants, increasing the efficiency of thermal cycles, calculating the thermal cycle, determining the amount and adjusting the working substances in the power plant production system. The course also covers the operation and regulation of power plant units, combined heat and power generation, ORC cycle, thermal cycle of combined cycle and nuclear power plants. Practical training takes place at the Tušimice II Power Plant
