Forum: Describing Electrical Circuits in English
Answer at least two of the following questions and respond to at least one contribution of a fellow student.
1. When studying electrical engineering at the University of West Bohemia, do you use materials in Czech only or do you have to read materials in English as well? If you sometimes use English materials, can you find any differences in materials in English and in Czech, apart from the fact that the language is different?
2. Have you ever participated in a lecture, seminar or lab in electrical engineering run in English, either within your study program at this university, or during an Erasmus stay abroad? If so, what was it like?
3. After you finish your university degree, do you plan to work with a Czech or foreign/international engineering company? In terms of the level of your English, would you manage to work for a foreign/international company?
4. Do you think that electrical engineering students at the University of West Bohemia should be given some of their field-related lectures, seminars or labs in English instead of Czech? Do you find this a good or a bad idea? Why? Are there any differences in electrical engineering symbols in the Czech Republic and abroad?
