1.1. State of charge



  • State of Charge (SoC) is practically impossible to determine according to the current voltage.
  • It is possible according to the open circuit voltage (OCV) voltage for the given temperature → in steady state, i.e. enough time after unloading.
  • SoC is usually estimated by counting the charge:

  • However, good accuracy of the current measurement must be ensured.
  • Overcharging is not possible - Li-ion will not take over another charge, charging must be stopped, otherwise safety is endangered.
