Course aims

After this course you will be able:

• use your voice and breathing effectively while speaking,
  
• use your voice to maximize impressiveness and emocionality of your speech,
  
• apply required standards of correct pronounciation,
• formulate and express your thoughts in a comprehensible and cultivated way,
• create cultivated speech focusing on the communication intention of the speaker,
• use nonverbal means of communication,
• gain and keep the attention of your listeners,
• analyse your own qualities as well as mistakes and deal with them appropriately to reach the desired qualities of usage.

Conditions of course completion (see the section of final task):

• expressive reading (texts of your own choice),
  
• final oral presentation (if necessary as a seminar paper).
