Course annotation

Aim of the course is to expand student´s knowledge of possibility of using movement and posture analysis systems both in diagnostics and in subsequent physiotherapy.

In the course we will discuss following topics:

History of motion analysis

How to: Effective examination, Choice of examination method, Evidence Based Medicine, pyramid of EBM

Methods of analysis/examination

Kinetic methods of analysis

Kinematics methods of analysis

Neurophysiological analysis

Aplication of movement analysis into the clinical rehabilitaion and research. 

What do you need to finnish this course?

There are some necessities to succesfully master the course.

It is better for you to be familiar with basics of anatomy, kinesiology and neurophysiology. You need to be able to work with modern inforamtion technolgies and you must have attitude and enthusiasm for obtaining new information.

And now let me briefly introduce myself.

My name is  Tomas Votik, I finnished my master degree  at Palacky University in Olomouc and nowadays I teach at the University of West Bohemia and work as physiotherapis

My field is clinical rehabilitation and methods of experimental diagnosis.
