Course objectives

After finishing the course, participants should be able:

  • to understand communication with people with disabilities as a kind of personal interaction with equal human being (though in special conditions or answering the spcial needs)
  • to use positive, non-diskriminatory, and "people-first" language in communication with or about the people with disabilities
  • to choose, describe and apply the adequate approach and strategy in communication with persons with particular kind of special needs

To successfully complete the course

 It's necessary:

  • to submit more than 50% of tasks requested in each course topic (so that you reach at least 50% points in total)
  • to successfully finish the test (achieving 70% at least)
  • to submit all requested points in the final part of this course (the final task, final test and course evaluation)
  • to submit your seminar paper (you will find further information in this part of Moodle course).

After successful fnishing this online course, you have to register for an oral exam (colloquium) in university Portal.
