In our last chapter, we want to take a closer look at certain everyday-situations which can require intercultural communication skills. These situations can occur in your living environment, like your neighbourhood, friend groups, or within your family, or they may be part of your work environment. Working in international teams can be rewarding and challenging at the same time. When a team needs to achieve a common goal, it can profit from the different perspectives of people with different cultural backgrounds. At the same time, different approaches to solving the task may cause friction. Therefore, let’s have a look at possible challenges and benefits of multicultural teams.
