= processes taking place in an already created social group.

 GROUP COHESION

Some social groups are highly cohesive, others are not.

The cohesion of the group is increased through:

  • satisfying individual needs
  • the way the group is led
  • internal consent to group morality

STRATEGY OF GROUP BEHAVIOR

Basically, we are talking about two opposing directions: cooperation and confrontation.

  • Groups that are primarily focused on cooperation are more productive in the long run.
  • Confrontation, or rivalry, increases stress, among other things.

GROUP CONFORMITY

Group conformity means being subject to group pressures. The pressure of the group is exerted on the value system of the individual and on his behavior.

 There is

• purposeful conformity (false)

• group conformity (right)
