Find two or three English versions of The Little Red Riding Hood, and answer these questions:

1.  Does the girl (LRRH) have a father? If so, what is his role in the story?

2.  Why is LRRH going to visit her grandma?

3.  What advice does LRRH get from her mother before she leaves?

4.  Does the wolf eat grandma / LRRH?

5.  Is the wolf punished? If so, how?

6.  What are LRRH's questions to the wolf disguised as grandma and how does he answer them?

Compare the two / three versions. In what do they differ, and what is the same? Compare these English versions with the Czech versions you know.
