Learning pathway

The learning pathway has been designed to guide you progressively from understanding the theoretical foundations of mediation to applying mediation strategies in authentic communication situations.

You will begin by exploring the concept of mediation and the CEFR mediation descriptors. You will then analyse real-life communication scenarios to identify common challenges and appropriate mediation strategies.

Throughout the course, you will engage with practical examples and guided activities that will help you apply techniques such as summarising, paraphrasing, simplifying, and reformulating information. Finally, you will reflect on your own communication style through self-assessment activities, consolidating the knowledge and skills acquired and considering how mediation can enhance communication, collaboration, and community engagement in your academic and professional life
