This is the picture oof İsmail Elçiçek.

İsmail Elçiçek is a doctoral researcher in communication studies, and his research focuses on critical peace education. His work examines how the interconnected crises of gender inequality, ecological degradation, migration and poverty are experienced and represented, and what a peace pedagogy grounded in intersectional and ecocentric perspectives looks like in practice, particularly in media and communication.

The course grew out of both lines of work. Its central concern, that being able to speak, being heard and being believed are three different things, is not a theoretical proposition here. It is a problem the designers have met repeatedly in research settings, in classrooms, and in work conducted across several languages and very unequal positions.
