  • What can make participation more difficult than it first seems?

    What helps people feel able to take part?
    What might be shaping these situations in ways we do not immediately notice?

    In this section, you are invited to explore these questions by looking beyond individual behaviour and focusing on the conditions in which participation takes place. Building on the previous modules, the emphasis now shifts to environments, tools and implicit norms.

    You will engage with a short conceptual input introducing three key ideas followed by an interactive checklist. Through everyday situations, you will reflect on the factors that may support or limit participation.

    Rather than identifying right or wrong answers, the aim is to help you notice how participation is shaped, and how small changes in conditions can make a difference.
