Accessibility and inclusion are not only about identifying barriers. They are about recognising the many conditions that shape participation in everyday life. Throughout this module, we have explored how access is not always equal, how some barriers remain invisible until people try to participate, and how environments, tools and implicit rules can either support or limit inclusion. Looking more carefully at these conditions helps us move beyond individual explanations and towards a broader understanding of participation.

Becoming aware of these factors is an important step, but awareness alone is not enough. Inclusion grows when reflection is translated into action, even through small changes in our everyday contexts. Sometimes, a clearer message, an additional invitation to participate, a different way of organising information, or a simple adjustment to an environment can make a meaningful difference.

What is one small action you could take to make participation more accessible in your own context?

In the final module, you will have the opportunity to choose and carry out a small inclusion challenge, applying what you have learned throughout the course and reflecting on its impact in a real-life situation.
