Course description

The course presents principles of effective ELT instruction. Students gain knowledge and skills of teaching language skills and language knowledge. 

We cover these topics:

• Teaching language knowledge - grammar, vocabulary 
  
• Giving feedback & error correction
  
• Teaching language skills - listening and reading

At the end of the course, you should be able to:

• justify your selection of various teaching techniques
  
• describe principles and steps of teaching language knowledge and teaching reading and listening language skills 
  
• explain principles of feedback and correction
  
• locate teaching activities in books and online and assess their suitability
  
• use ELT terminology
