    • IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE END OF THE SEMESTER:

      • If you come to class and do your assignments regularly, you will submit your folder with all your assignments Dec 17. If you miss the class meeting, make sure to contact me during the week. Everybody will be required to organize their folder a certain way and identify an assignment in their folder they would like my specific feedback on so your participation in the process is required.
      • If you have missed more than three classes during the semester, you will take an additional credit test at the end of the semester.  The test will be offered Thursday, Dec 17 at 3:00pm in my office. You will be allowed to use the assignments you have completed this fall during the test. It won’t be a memory test. You will be asked to apply the knowledge in different tasks. In addition to the test, you will be asked to submit all your assignments either Dec 17 .
      • If you are a full time ZS or SS teacher, you will submit your folder with all your assignments Dec 17  (unless you request an extension due to your teaching commitments). In addition to all the assignments that have been given this semester, I would like you to write a two page (1.5 spacing) reflection paper on how the readings and assignments enriched/informed your teaching this fall (e.g. confirmations, discoveries, etc).
      • If you are an international student, submit assignments that you have completed along with a an essay on your learning experiences in the Czech Republic (instructions are below).

Below you can download the list of assignments that you have been asked to complete this semester. Dec 17 you will go through the checklist and mark all the assignments that you have and/or havent completed this semester. :-)  In addition, you will identify one assignment in your folder that you would like me to give you specific feedback on (students arent allowed to use a summary assignment for this) and you will include the one assignment at the very top of all your assignments. During the review process of the portfolio, I will find another assignment that I will give you feedback on. In other words, you will get feedback on two assignments you have completed this semester. You will be able to pick up your folders starting the week of January 4.

Note: Your assignments shouldnt be submitted in plastic sleeves. Use folders that will not require me to pull out sheets of papers from sleeves. I understand that things look pretty in plastic sleeves, but they do not allow teachers to write comments on your papers. :-)
